The Dammschlösschen was built in the Gründerzeit (the industrial prosperity period at the end of the 19th century). However, the emphasis on the central axis and the slate covered mansard roof display Baroque features.
There used to be a large front building in place of the garden, but it was destroyed during the air attacks on the Neustadt railway station. The Dammschlösschen was also hit, but luckily remained largely undamaged.
We purchased the house in 2005 and renovated it in 2006. Both our education in the field of building restoration and the architects A. Vogt and U. Schneider helped us with the careful transformation of a historic building into a modern residential building. Where possible, historic building materials were refurbished or supplemented.
The holiday apartment "LISBETH" was brought to life in 2009. „MALWINE“ followed in 2011. |
